Graphite.

So there is a little story behind the name of this deviation. Apparently colouring books aren't good enough for my 7 year old. She wanted to colour THIS character specifically and clamoured for 3 days to have me draw it just so that she could attack it with whatever pigmenting medium that strikes her fancy at any moment.

I get attached to anything I work on, and her colouring technique is still a little rough. ;)

Still, it's pretty cool... and she is my biggest fan. So finally I threw my hands in the air and said what the heck. I need more man face practice anyways.

So, voila! This is all I can do in 2 hours of work. I must get faster...

EDIT: Because some of you asked (ages ago) how she did... Rhaegar Coloured Pencil Practice by KayDanAsh :D

First of all don't pay too much attention to the stars/point rating, i don't know what does it means with "vision" or "impact".

So your niece doesn't want a random colouring book to play with, she just wants to colour your drawings, haha that's cute.

In my opinion 2 hours it's pretty quick for a semi realistic portrait like this.
I like the attention to details such as his eyebrows, the detailed nose and eyes. The shading its very smooth without being messy, i know how hard it is to get soft shadows smudging the lines carefully to not ruin anything.
Maybe his jawline needs to be lowered a little bit?, just from the righ side of his face.
